Title - Yorkshire West Riding North East Dedication of Country Standard Ripon Cathedral Saturday, 11th October 1952

Girl Guides make their way down a street and towards Ripon Cathedral. They break off into smaller groups and enter the cathedral. The girls are followed by two women in fur coats and other Girl Guides and Guide Leaders. Some of the groups stand outside the Cathedral, and a small crowd of spectators have gathered. Most are dressed in overcoats.

A group of Girl Guides carrying flags line up and enter Ripon Cathedral. Three clergy members, dressed in festive robes, now wait at the entrance. H.R.H. The Princess Royal arrives at the cathedral. She gets out of her car, shakes hands with members of the clergy, and enters the church.

After the ceremony, the Girl Guides exit the church and line up on the steps. Many of them are still holding flags. They pose on the steps of the cathedral. The film closes as three women walk towards the cathedral yard. One of them is holding a flag.
