‘You Should’ve Seen Us’ is a collaboration between writer Paul Mills and YFA, culminating in a presentation covering a period from 1908 – 1958: imagined voices of people in North Yorkshire from before, during and after WWII, to be screened at literary festivals across the region.
Stadium Legends was one of a number of projects supported by Screen Yorkshire and the UK Film Council Digital Film Archive Fund. YFA worked with sports organisations across the region to bring archive footage to new audiences by producing short screenings of sporting footage for use on the large stadium screens.
Working in partnership with artist Diane Howse, YFA produced an exhibition based on wartime home movie collections, and worked on an additional programme of events including talks, screenings, family events, guided visits and educational workshops.
In early 2004, YFA was awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to research, preserve and make accessible a previously neglected aspect of our regional moving image heritage: the history of regional television in Yorkshire.
A research project commissioned to gather evidence and inform the development of YFA’s relationship with black and minority ethnic communities within the region.
